Today, for the first time after the New Year and Christmas holidays, the crisis personnel of the Government of Serbia for the fight against kovid 19 addressed the public.

In the last 24 hours, 10,961 people in Serbia were tested for the corona virus, of whom 1,751 tested positive.

Unfortunately, 21 more people died in the last 24 hours.

There are 196 ventilator patients in hospitals across Serbia, said Dr. Zoran Gojković.

We got out of the emergency situation, but the numbers are still high

“What is noticeable is that there has been no increase after the Christmas and New Year holidays, which is encouraging. There may still be an increase in the number of infected if we do not take care of ourselves and do not respect the forecast of the measure. It is still a stalemate. The vaccine and we hope that more will reach them, that should prevent us from enduring this period. So, we have come out of this emergency situation, but the numbers are still high, “said Dr. Predrag Kon.

“In Vojvodina, the situation is the same as in other parts of Serbia. Novi Sad dominates in terms of the number of patients, but the situation in hospitals is better, so there are less than 200 bedridden patients in KC Vojvodina. The situation is unfavorable and unstable, but it is under control, “he revealed. is Dr. Gojkovic.

Vaccination with Chinese vaccine from Sunday or Monday

“Tomorrow a contingent of Chinese vaccines should arrive. If the vaccine passes all controls, perhaps on Sunday and Monday we will start vaccinating citizens who have expressed the desire to be vaccinated with it. Serbia is the only country that has vaccinated three manufacturers, it’s a great success. ” added Dr. Gojković.

No concessions to measures, the school is moving as planned

“Relaxing the measures is not realistic, especially before the continuation of the school and with the new tension in Europe,” said Dr. Kon, adding:

“The schools will continue to function as before. There is no reason to hesitate and delay the start. You have to know that with the start of school, acute respiratory infections will appear and the flu is expected ”…

“It’s hard to believe that a new strain isn’t coming to us when it’s already spreading across Europe,” Dr. Kon said.

“The moment should be used now when an atmosphere of vaccination is being created,” added Dr. Kon, saying:

“No matter which vaccine is received, it is important that each one has a certificate.”

“Opening the border is a political decision and is related to international obligations, specifically ‘mini Schengen’,” explained Dr. Kon.

“Journalists are a risk group and we will find an opportunity and a way for journalists to get vaccinated as soon as possible,” Dr. Gojković said, adding:

“There are a total of 957 positive viruses and 522 employed in all social welfare institutions.”

When asked which vaccine he would choose, Dr. Kon replied:

“It’s always better for me to get or have. I got two Pizzers. If they were Russian or Chinese at the time, I would get you.”

“If someone had told me half a year ago that we would have the vaccine in January, I would have said it was impossible. Some things are happening faster than expected. But we certainly will not remove our masks anytime soon,” added Dr. Conn.
