This unusual case has caused controversy and public debate about whether something could have been done and avoided a tragic epilogue, given that father and son behaved “weirder”, that they did not take care of personal hygiene and that an unpleasant smell emanated from their apartment. According to unofficial information from “Novosti”, they were not users of the services of the city’s Social Work Center.

– There was only one report for unsanitary conditions at the address where they lived, but that report referred to people with different names. After the check, it turned out that they had a registered residence in Umci and that they came to Glogonjski rit a few years ago.

Neighbors say the father took care of his son, who is allegedly mentally ill. They claim that they went to the competent services, to help this family of two, but also the tenants because they are in danger from the stench, but they never received a response.
