Božidar D. (55) and Ivana D. (41) died early this morning in a fire that broke out at their home in Indjija on Sava Kovačevića street. Neighbors of this marriage told “Blic” that the smell of smoke can be felt throughout the entire street where the fire occurred.
As neighbors told “Blic” this morning, a whole series of inexplicable events preceded this tragedy. That is to say, on Monday, Božidar, scantily clad, went out into the street and almost reached the center of Inđija. He was reportedly ill and sought medical help.
– The police met him at one point and then took him home, after which they called an ambulance. Before that, his wife shouted out loud: “My Boban is gone, gone.” Nobody knows what happened to him, so he walked down the street and then refused the help of a doctor, one of the neighbors told “Blic.”
Ivana D., as the neighbors said, was visually impaired and Božidar took her to work every day and waited for her to finish.
– They did not socialize much with the environment, they did everything according to the principle of housework, their own brother lives with them in the other house, as well as his aunt’s brother – one of the neighbors told “Blic”.
Neighbors wonder how it is possible that his own brother, when he shares only one wall of the house where the fire occurred, did not feel or see smoke and if in this way the tragedy could have been avoided in time.
– By the way, Božidar is in a legal dispute over the house with his brother, they have been on trial for several years, and I don’t know how they live like this – added one of the neighbors.
