When the judge read the verdict, the relatives of the victims wept in disgust.
– Shame! Assassin! You killed Katarina! ”A woman from the audience yelled, and Mihailović lowered her head.
The mother of the injured girl said after the verdict that she could not be satisfied and that there were many omissions from the first moment after the accident.
“He took everything from us, he ruined our lives,” said Maja Ivanković.
Judge Ivana Ramić stated that it was determined that the convict was driving a BMW in a state of severe alcoholism, at a speed of 117 per hour, although the limit was 50, which caused a dangerous situation. The victim Katarina Ivanković was a passenger in his car, while the late Savatić was driving a “dacia” taxi, and Belušević and Subotić were passengers in it.
A terrible accident occurred in the town of Zupanjac when Nikola, with 1.36 per thousand of alcohol in his blood, collided with the “dacia”, who joined Ibar.
Yesterday, the judge recalled the conclusions of the experts, who determined that the initial culprit of the accident was the driver of the “Dacia”, who did not get safely onto the main road.
– An extenuating circumstance for Mihailović is that the driver of the “dacia” caused a dangerous situation, as well as the fact that he showed sincere remorse. However, it was taken lightly that there would be no accident, the judge said.
It should be recalled that at the beginning of the trial, Mihailović declared that he was guilty and that he regretted the tragedy.
Broken family
Marija Savatić, the mother of the victim Aleksandar Savatić, did not hide yesterday that she was outraged by the discovery of the judicial experts, who concluded that her son was also the culprit of the accident. – I’m not saying, maybe my son is to blame, but do they have children? Let them go back to how they worked. Is the life of our children worth a year? the desperate mother asks.
– I was drunk when I got behind the wheel. Someone blinded me with the headlights and I hit the “dacia” in front. I’m sorry, I want to express my condolences to the families of the victims – said Mihailović.
