The “Novosti” team is on the site of the hospital complex, where the arrival of President Aleksandar Vučić is expected.

In the “Rasina” barracks 4,380 square meters of old buildings were demolished to adapt the space to the fight against the epidemic. In less than four months, 12,000 square meters of hospital capacity were built to serve 500 patients.

THE HOSPITAL IS MANAGED BY EXPERTS FROM KC NIS

The COORDINATOR of the KOVID hospital in Kruševac is the anesthesiologist Dr. Vladimir Cvetanović of the Nis Clinical Center. Several experienced experts from the Nis Clinical Center will work at the health institution, as well as 126 new doctors, eight pharmacists and 507 nurses.

The company “Termomont”, which worked on the project with more than 10 subcontractors, notes that they do not believe that anyone has faced the challenge of building such facilities within the established timeframe.

Based on the project “Novosti” had an idea for, the Kruševac KOVID hospital is a smaller version of the specialized institution for the treatment of KOVID-19 patients in Batajnica.

The intensive care has 150 and the semi-intensive – 350 beds. In a separate space are the accompanying elements: storage of medicinal gases, warehouse, distribution kitchen, boiler room, chapel.

The access roads to the barracks are adapted to the urgent transport of patients, which is expected from central and southern Serbia. A special entrance was made for the emergency admission of the patients and the first triage, and the movement within the hospital circle, as well as the accesses to the facilities are designed to avoid possible contamination. The diagnostic center has all the necessary equipment (scanner, X-rays), respirators, monitors to monitor vital functions. A modern, multifunctional hospital with sophisticated diagnostics and medical equipment will continue to function even after the end of the epidemic.
