According to our information, the investigation, which is strictly closed, has been ongoing for some time. At the moment, the interrogations are in the first place, members of the Service of Special Investigation Methods of the Directorate of Criminal Police. The Service is responsible, among other things, for conducting electronic surveillance. Investigative actions are carried out by the Internal Control Sector of the Ministry of the Interior.
Minister Aleksandar Vulin confirmed on Sunday that President Vučić had been heard and that the services were working on an investigation:
– We will get to the truth and the judicial authorities will do their part. It is up to us to confirm that the president was intervened and to ensure that this does not happen again. It’s too early to talk about the goal of wiretapping the president, but there was certainly no talk of good intentions.
President Vučić stated that they had listened to him for a long time, a year and a half, that he had proof of that, his own recorded conversations, and that he thought he knew who was behind it. Vulin stressed that Vučić did not say that for the sake of political marketing, but because it is true, which the competent authorities must confirm. Vulin has no doubt that this serious blow not only to the security of the president, but also of the state, is a consequence of Vučić’s determination to wage a serious fight against the mafia.
Interlocutors from “Novosti” point out that the wiretapping of the president is a serious crime, an attempt to overthrow the constitutional order. They also say that it is necessary to review everything, especially after the new details about the “Jovanjica” case, that is, the alleged information that the owner of the marijuana plantation on trial, Predrag Koluvija, assures that a senior state official He said on the same day he was arrested that he should accuse everything of Andrej Vučić, the brother of the President of Serbia. “
Božidar Spasić, a former state security agent, says that Vučić discovered that he was being listened to after “Jovanjica” and claims that “a silent coup attempt is under way”:
– The objective is to break the security system that surrounds the president, generate confusion, ruin his reputation, especially in the world. The President of the Republic can only be spied on by a separate parastatal apparatus, within the police or the secret and military police. Only they are trained for that, both technologically and in terms of personnel. In our country, there are parts of the security structures, which are from the old regime, and are against the current policy. It was already evident with the coming to power of Vučić that such elements would work to damage his reputation, attack his brother, son, family.
Spasic adds that when you eavesdrop on the president, the information you get can be sent to some foreign services, the opposition, the mafia. That, he explains, endangers not only the head of state, but the entire security system of the country.
Ljuban Karan, a retired KOS colonel, explains to “Novosti” that we have clear indications from the environment and from the EU that a new hybrid war against Serbia is being prepared, because Vučić and our government are not giving up on Kosovo and politics of neutrality:
– One or more powerful foreign secret agencies hide behind the wiretapping of the president, who depend on certain structures of our services, but also on the opposition, certain tycoons and parts of the mafia. All of them are motivated for Vučić to step down, to make some of his interests a reality. President Vučić’s state policy is transparent, he does not have compromising personal secrets, but it is certain that the data they obtain will be misused to mount scandals.
He also recalls that a similar case happened recently in Germany, when parts of the BND spied on Chancellor Angela Merkel, in favor of the CIA.
The chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for the Control of Security Services, Igor Bečić, stated that there has been information about the wiretapping of President Vučić for a long time, and now there is concrete evidence. It requires competent authorities to conduct a serious and thorough investigation and report the results to the Board.
ILLEGALLY WANTS THE GOVERNMENT
AFTER President Vučić announced that he had been intervened, officials from the ranks of progressives also called in, calling for an urgent and thorough investigation. Among them is Belgrade Deputy Mayor Goran Vesić, who said on Sunday that everyone who participated in the wiretapping must be held accountable, because it is a serious crime.
– It is obvious that there are people who think that they can come to power without votes, through illegal wiretapping and carrying out, in a way, a coup.
