NEW MEASURES BEGIN TO APPLY FROM MIDNIGHT In the previous days we had kilometers of columns of vehicles at border crossings, and here is the situation tonight.

The new epidemiological measures to enter Serbia will come into effect on Monday, which is why convoys of larger vehicles were registered at the Batrovci and Sid border crossings, where they waited an hour to enter Serbia. On the other hand, the longest wait for Hungary’s entry into Serbia was in Horgos: about half an hour. However, judging from the current recordings, there are no major traffic jams at these junctions at this time.

Our citizens who live and work abroad, but also foreigners, are taking advantage of the last hours to enter our country tonight according to the old and usual rules.

Starting tomorrow, new epidemiological measures will come into force, according to which foreigners can enter Serbia only if they have a negative PCR test for Covid 19, no longer than 48 hours, issued by the reference laboratory of the country of origin, while that our citizens who have approved temporary residence or permanent residence in Serbia, must be in home isolation for 10 days, which they can terminate if they do a PCR test and it turns out to be negative.

Because of that, many of our citizens, as well as foreigners, rushed to come to Serbia during this weekend, leading to a large crowd at the border crossings, especially during Friday and Saturday.

According to the latest information from the AMSS and the Border Police Administration, the longest wait to enter Serbia is from Croatia, one hour. This refers, above all, to the crosses of Sid and Batrovci.

– At the Sid crossing, the wait for entry into Serbia is about 60 minutes. The traffic is carried out in 2 lanes, the intermediate space is full, in the neighboring GP Tovarnik, the length of the column along the depth of the territory of Croatia is about 150 meters, they explain in AMSS.

The situation is similar at the Batrovci junction.

– Traffic takes place in seven lanes, the space in between is filled and the entrance to Serbia is expected one hour. In the neighboring GP Bajakovo, at the exit of the Republic of Croatia, four lanes are open, the length of the column along the depth of the territory of Croatia is about four kilometers, they say in AMSS.

However, only some vehicles in the column can be seen on the AMSS cameras installed at both border crossings.

Faster entry into Serbia from Hungary is possible as, as they say on AMSS, the longest wait at the busiest Horgos junction is about half an hour.

– There is less traffic at the Kelebija border crossing, so the wait for the entrance to Serbia is about 20 minutes – they point out in AMSS.

At the moment, the AMSS cameras do not show large traffic jams at any border crossing with Hungary.

There are no large convoys of vehicles at the border crossings with other neighboring countries. For example, at the border crossing with Bulgaria in Dimitovgrad, the border is crossed in 15 minutes, they say on AMSS.
