Today, the new party congratulated the new leadership of the Free Citizens Movement and called on all liberal-oriented parties and organizations to start working and prepare for the next political struggle.

The Nova communiqué calls on the parties to continue the opposition talks and to intensify them, in order to create strong liberal and social democratic forces that will appear before public opinion with clear demands and concrete proposals.

The statement estimates that the opposition political scene in Serbia today is too fragmented and too weak to oppose “a strong political opponent, the current regime, which does not choose the funds for the sake of the stated objective.”

“That is why expansion is necessary, and as a first example of the above, we expect soon the formal start of the unification process with the Free Citizens Movement,” the announcement stated.

They also affirm that the citizens of Serbia are calling every day for the strengthening of the opposition and clear steps in the fight against the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, making it necessary for the opposition parties to put differences aside and return to the table of talks.

“The New Party also expects an electoral conference this weekend, after which, with a new, determined and consistent leadership, we will certainly continue with what we started, and that is to create a clear liberal front that, with the support of all Serbian citizens, the political struggle will continue. ” it also becomes a serious state, “the statement said.

Earlier today, at the electoral assembly of the Free Citizens Movement, Pavle Grbović was elected the new president of that political organization. At the press conference, Grbović announced the process of unification of PSG with the New Party and a dialogue with all opposition political organizations that inherit similar values.
