In the last 24 hours, 6,715 people were tested for the corona virus in Serbia, 416 of them tested positive, while sadly, two people died.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and the “Trampolín” Institute, there are 24 patients with respirators in health institutions throughout the country.

Let us remind you, yesterday we broke the black record, that is, we registered the newest infected in 24 hours from the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic in Serbia, up to 512. The most we had before that was at the peak of the second wave, on July 26, 467 positives were registered. Yesterday we had 27 patients on respirators. Here there is also a notable increase, considering that a few days before the figure was around 22.

Due to the worsening of the epidemiological situation in our country, the Crisis Staff met today to fight the coronavirus. It was expected that new measures would be adopted, but after the session, Dr. Srdja Jankovic, a member of the Crisis Staff, stated that there will be no new measures, nor will they be stricter, but that the existing ones must be applied with greater severity and sanction .

Furthermore, as we have learned, that is exactly why the Serbian Assembly will pass amendments to certain laws at the next regular session. Thus, in the future, not wearing masks, indoors, would be fined 5,000 dinars, but on the spot, without a judicial process, as is the case today.

Professor Dr. Petar Kočović, an engineer who monitors the movement of the pandemic around the world through mathematical models, also spoke today about the current epidemiological situation. Read here what it says, how long all this will last and what are the forecasts.
