The number of cameras on the streets of Belgrade, recording traffic and all other violations, continues to grow and according to the latest official data from the Serbian Ministry of the Interior, they have been installed in 170 locations throughout the capital!
This state-of-the-art video surveillance has the ability to identify vehicles, as well as people’s faces on the streets and in cars, and its function is multiple.
Not all cameras are of the same type or purpose. Some are fixed, some are mobile, and some are only used to recognize license plates. And in some places, only one has been installed, while there is a record 18 in Republic Square.
We remind you that, as previously confirmed by the Serbian Interior Ministry, the plan is to install more than 1,000 cameras in some 800 locations.
