Naser Vučelj gave his life for the homeland in Košare, a street in Novi Pazar now named after him

Naser Vučelj is one of 108 heavenly heroes who gave his life for the homeland in Košare.

The initiative of the Serbian army, launched three years ago, to name a street in Novi Pazar after Naser, was carried out today.

“He gave his birth life in Košare so that we could live in peace, freedom and prosperity today. And he turned Novi Pazar into a city of heroes by revealing the name of the street with his name to the pride of all of us,” said Colonel Ljubinko Đurković, Košare war commander.

The name plate was unveiled in the presence of relatives, colleagues, friends and members of the Serbian army.

“Let us not let his name be forgotten and we are proud of the City of Pazar that came out to meet us and took our initiative. That is why we say ‘Baskets is a battle that still continues’. For this reason, we do not let our fighters are being forgotten ”Says Darko Andjelković, Naser’s comrade in arms.

Naser Vučelj was killed on April 19, 1999 in the Maja glava area, during the battle for the Košare watchtower. He was a member of the 125th Motorized Brigade VJ. I was 21 years old.
