“My daughter was killed by a monster known to harass women. If I had known that my Jasmina was in a relationship with him, I would have done anything to separate her from him. Damn it for raising her hand against my daughter,” she says desperately . Darinka Puretić from the village of Svileuve near Koceljeva, mother of Jasmina Puretić Lazarević (46), who was massacred with a knife by her lover Radovan Ranisavljević (57) on Wednesday night.
The horrible crime occurred in Baric, in a house that Jasmina has been renting for the past two months, after she left her husband. Radovan climbed the ladder to the window, then broke into the house and stabbed the unfortunate Jasmina in the chest and neck with a knife. He then drove to the bridge on the Sabac – Ruma highway with the intention of jumping off it, but was saved by the police.
Apparently, the insane Ranisavljević could not accept the fact that Jasmina would never see him again and, after his arrest, confessed to the crime.
Darinka Puretić told Informer that she did not know that Jasmina had a secret relationship with Radovan until her daughter’s murder.
– The last time I heard from my daughter was a few days before the crime. We talked for a long time, but she didn’t mention any problems to me. My husband and I knew she wanted a divorce, but when I asked her why, she simply said, “I have to do it, I can’t be with him anymore,” Darinka told Informer.
Jasmina’s father, Miroslav, only found out after the murder that his daughter was with Radovan.
– This monster is known to all for persecuting women. When he likes a girl or a woman, he starts harassing her, and if she rejects him, he starts threatening her. So is he. Scott! The husbands beat him because he chased their wives, but he did not calm down – said Father Mirosav adding that it was not clear to him how Radovan, who works in the Koceljevo municipality, was not fired from that job, when everyone knows how it is he.
“The spasms started two years ago”
The murdered woman’s parents point out that Jasmina had a beautiful marriage and two wonderful children, but that something went wrong two years ago.
– Both she and her husband Petar took out loans to buy a house in Umca and get married. However, that house did not have the proper papers and since then the fights between them began – said Darinka.
As a reminder, Ranisavljević worked as head of the Department of Social Activities in the municipal administration of Koceljeva, and was president of the local community of the Svileuve village for many years, where his wife, son, daughter and three grandchildren live. Furthermore, writes the Informer, he is also a relative of Jasmina Puretić, whom he brutally killed.
