The life of actress Eva Ras was marked by tragedies, and now she pointed out that she often remembers her childhood during the holidays, only to reveal that she is very sorry not to celebrate this New Year in the Plaza, as she had in previous years.
– This has become unbearable, all that black news, that this year we will not have a welcome, and I was so looking forward to New Year’s Eve in the square, I love it, every year when I go alone to the square, everyone is happy there, they sing. , we enjoyed the music. One year, a young father was holding a child on his shoulders, he smiled at me, it was a really wonderful feeling – says Eva.
As is known, Eva is Jewish and her husband Radomir Stević Ras was an Orthodox Serb. Eva says that Orthodox Christmas has always been celebrated in her home and that the New Year was a special holiday.
Soon I will be eighty. I was born on January 1, two hours after midnight, so Russ always insisted that we celebrate that night and celebrate my birthday. It was a special party for us, but not for the new one, but for my birthday. We celebrated the Serbian Orthodox New Year when the house was somehow consecrated and solemnly decorated since Christmas, we did not bring straw and Christmas Eve until new, and many communists came to celebrate – says the actress.
– Today I am alone, I do not need anything, I do not decorum and I do not take care of that, but I like to walk to be outside at those receptions in the square. My immunity is walking, contact with the earth and the sky above me, I walk four hours a day – says Eva, and then she remembered her parents.
– They call the man and the memories in that period, you know. My father was a doctor and homosexual, he married my mother because at that time something like this was unthinkable, it was hidden and to be accepted in society you had to get married, start a family. My mother never forgave him after she found out, and she always said she would take care of him. When she died, he died at two months, he never drank, and during that period he constantly consumed alcohol until he was poisoned, he suffered a lot – recalls the actress.
This year Eva Ras starred in the student film “Saturday Night Fever” in which she played a sorcerer Vlach, and in the film debuted Kristina Kija Kockar, who played herself, now she talked about how her reunion was.
– We met at the premiere and she was kind, and I kindly reciprocated. There was a standing ovation when I appeared on stage, and she told me that I dominated, and I told her it was because I was an actress. She did not take advantage of this her debut. They used it. I was used to … I didn’t have any stories, I just needed to be beautiful … If they had put her in the frame with me, maybe I would have done something. You don’t know how to deal with public affairs. You know, when you are a public figure, you have to endure success and failure, wealth, poverty, defeats, when something hits you to get up and move on – Eva said.
