From yesterday to today, 512 have been infected by the virus in Serbia, which is the highest number recorded in 24 hours since the start of the pandemic. Previously, on July 26, the highest number of patients was registered during a day (467). An emergency crisis staff session is scheduled for tomorrow at 9 o’clock.

Due to the new situation with the corona virus and the increasing number of infected people, an emergency session of crisis personnel will be held tomorrow, instead of the usual one on Friday, confirmed epidemiologist Predrag Kon for Blic.
It is clear that the amount of coronavirus in our country is accelerating: the situation is certainly the most worrying in Belgrade, then in Kragujevac and other cities, while the situation is somewhat better and more stable in Vojvodina, Kon said.
According to him, a driving ban is the last option, which they hope to avoid, but with the virus accelerating, it is not impossible.
Epidemiologist Bransilav Tiodorović also said today that the crisis staff session was threatened in the morning. However, he also told Kurir that “the increase in the number of infected people is not something we did not expect” and announced the PCR or serological test necessary to enter Serbia as a possible new measure.
