An attempt to smuggle narcotics, including the psilocybin mushroom, better known as the “magic” mushroom, was prevented at the Špiljani crossing on the border with Montenegro, the Customs Administration announced.
About five grams of dried marijuana, a metal marijuana grinder, three packs of gravel were packed into the kit, and the packet contained shredded scraps and a whole dried hallucinogenic mushroom.
The case was discovered yesterday when a car with German registration, driven by a Montenegrin citizen residing in Belgrade, who was traveling in the company of a German citizen, arrived at the entrance of the crossing.
He introduced himself in Serbian as an archeology student.
The Novi Pazar Municipal Prosecutor’s Office was immediately informed about the case and the passengers and the narcotics discovered were turned over to the police for their jurisdiction.
