It also monitored passenger satisfaction on the Belgrade – Valjevo – Kosjeri route.

According to Minister Momirovi, train travel should return to people’s consciousness and additional work should be done to promote the services, functionality and safety of travel in this type of transport.

“In the previous period, the Srbija Voice company modernized its fleet with modern tadler sets. Everything is adjusted to the comfort of the passengers, equal, spacious and modern. The air conditioners work, the toilets are the same, and there is free internet. “My task is to promote Serbian railways, local lines, as well as future high-speed lines,” Momirovi said, the ministry said.

It’s time to go back to train travel, because it is the safest and cheapest, he said.

“Here, a three-hour trip from Belgrade to Kosjeri is a vacation for the soul, we drive through our beautiful Serbia, in the same cars, we can read a book, study or rest in peace. And at a price of 1,000 to 1,500 dinars for a round trip ticket, you know: “How much fuel and how much fuel do you have to spend to get to Kosjeria by car?” asked the minister.

He stressed that the largest wave of investment in the reconstruction of Serbian railways is underway and that its decline has stopped.

“People have forgotten how they used to travel by train and how it is the best and safest way to travel. For more than 40 years, nothing has been invested in rail infrastructure and it was necessary for President Aleksandar Vui to launch the largest wave of investments in the history of Serbian railways. Literally zero point by which we will measure time on Serbian railways. ”

He recalled that a high-speed railway was being built to Novi Sad and beyond Budapest.

“But we have not forgotten about the railway lines in Serbia. We plan to buy trains that are capable of traveling at high speeds above 150 kilometers (per hour), but we have not forgotten about the trains for lower speeds, which will run in Serbia, “he added. added the minister.

According to him, the Serbian Government has not neglected the roads to this region and is doing everything possible to connect it with the most modern roads, to refresh and renew the local and main roads and to allow citizens to drive their cars safely.

“In the last five years, we have invested about 400 million dinars for the rehabilitation of state and local roads, and I can promise the two citizens of Kosjeri that we will continue to invest in road infrastructure. Because only by investing in infrastructure projects we provide the foundation for normal economic development “in this city,” Minister Momirovi concluded.
