He visited the works to ensure that the works, as previously agreed, are also carried out on weekends.
After meeting with representatives of the contractors, Powerina and Azvirt, Momirovi said that the main contractors and subcontractors had promised to complete the bypass work ahead of schedule.
“We have concluded that the works on this stretch, from Ostrunica to the Ibar highway, including the Petlovo brdo loop, will be completed in April next year,” the minister said.
He noted that the construction of the Belgrade bypass has been a topic that has been talked about for decades, adding that all bypass works will be completed in the next year and a half or two.
For the works to progress smoothly, he noted that it is necessary for everyone to cooperate: the Ministry, the City of Belgrade, the civil sector and the contractors.
“This is a serious project with three large tunnels, there were many legal problems that hampered the works, so we all have to do our best now so that in two years the Belgrade bypass will never be an issue but a reality”, Momirovi said.
Remember that currently all freight traffic passes through Belgrade, and the function of the bypass will be to relieve the center of the capital, but, says the minister, it will also be of ecological importance, because it will reduce exhaust gases in the city itself.
