In recent months, I have often been the target of attacks by Mladjan Djordjevic, who from his fictitious internet portals and Facebook pages told a series of falsehoods about me and the party of which I am president.
I never thought of responding to such attacks.
First, because I’m not in the habit of referring to this kind of grassroots political disqualification anyway.
Second, because Mladjan Djordjevic is a notoriously frivolous phenomenon on the Serbian political scene.
As a reminder, this is a man that the whole “Twitter community” (as he calls it) laughed at when he tragicomically filmed himself in Marićević’s ditch, pathetically calling for an uprising and paraphrasing Miloš Obrenović with the words “Here you are, here I am again.” obviously not realizing that Orašac is not Takovo, that 1804 is not 1815, and that Karađorđe and Miloš are actually two different historical figures.
It is about a man who all of Serbia laughed at when he told a childish lie that Aleksandar Vučić had stolen the money that Trump generously distributed to Serbs ($ 1,000 per capita).
However, Mladjan Djordjevic continued his accusations on the pages of the daily “Danas” as well as during a guest appearance on the morning TV show H1, where he again accused me of “acting in opposition in cooperation with Nikola Selakovic”.
Let me tell you right away that with this attack, he once again told an eyeless lie, which I flatly deny.
I have absolutely no contact with Nikola Selaković, nor have I had one (the same goes for Petar Petković and Milenko Jovanov, for which I was also accused by fictitious internet portals that at the same time elevate Mr. Đorđević as an ideal presidential candidate) .
As for acting, I never had any talent or interest in it.
On the contrary, it must be admitted that Mladjan Djordjevic is an outstanding actor.
The public, watching and listening to him, might really think that he is an uncompromising fighter for Serbian Kosovo.
The problem, however, is that Mladjan Djordjevic himself personally convinced me only three years ago, in a bar in Vracar, that he was – and this is a quote: “Kosovo is lost”; such as “Vučić needs help in treason” and “how will God’s justice be if Vučić betrays Kosovo”.
This bitter debate of several hours, which ended with my statement, which was also delivered that night in a very high tone, that “you hate Vučić more than you love Serbia” (this “you” referred to Mlađa Đorđević and similar), was also attended by three witnesses, well known to Mr. Djordjevic.
Mladjan Djordjevic continues to complain about the nonsense that “with my one percent of the vote, I get more media space than Vucic.”
If I had to go into detail, I would invite Mladja Djordjevic to look again at the results of the last elections and accept the fact that he again agreed more than 100%.
I mean, in the last election, the list I headed, actually with people like Ivan Matović and Novica Antić, got 2.24 percent of the vote.
That result certainly did not satisfy us, but the essence is elsewhere.
Those 72,085 votes are exactly 72,085 more votes than Djordjevic won anytime, anywhere.
In other words, Mladjan Djordjevic, the president of a phantom association that represents absolutely no one but still appears in such a capacity in programs for which I have never received an invitation (like the “360 degrees” program on H1) or for that I receive an invitation very rarely (like “Impressions of the week” in Nova S) and whose announcements are broadcast regularly on portals (like “Nove.rs”), do you dare to count the minutes of presence in the media for anyone?
And this describes the difference that will exist forever between people like Mladjan Djordjevic and me.
I never thought that the trust of the public is gained by carrying out dirty campaigns against other actors on the political scene, be they and my rivals.
I have never complained why I do not appear on some programs or ask how it is possible that a man like Mladjan Djordjevic, at best, has a poor education, without a known profession, without political convictions, for whom the lie is a habitual and habitual tool in the political struggle. representing no one, gets a second of media attention.
In that sense, Mladjan Djordjevic and his involvement in politics are a typical example of the mud into which we have turned the Serbian political scene.
Personally, I have never participated in the making of this mud, nor do I intend to do so.
On the contrary, I want that mud to disappear. So this is my first and last reply to Mr. Djordjevic.
