Mitigation of measures – because the most favorable epidemiological situation dictates it – says the Crisis Staff, although just a few days ago they affirmed that the measures should not be relaxed before mid-September, that is, until the spread of the virus is seen affects the return of students to schools. Educators say the situation remains critical and warn that the system for returning students to their desks is not ready.

“We are eagerly awaiting September 1. For these reasons, we are asking the relevant institutions to postpone classes for 30 days,” says Milorad Antic, president of the Forum for Professional Secondary Schools.

There is no reason for delay and panic, they say on the Crisis Staff. They also claim that the situation in schools will be monitored daily.

“There is no need to fear. As you know, we are prepared and organized for all forms of teaching, from online to school. We know that the best and most efficient way to teach is school, everything else is a compromise solution. depending on the epidemiology. I also have a schoolboy and I can’t wait for him to go to school, “said Darija Kisić Tepavčević.

Insisting that children start school on September 1 will lead to us closing one school at a time in a month, warning the Union of Doctors and Pharmacists and saying they support the educators’ proposal to postpone the start of the school year, because there are too many unresolved issues.

“Which school has liquid soap, which school has the possibility to organize disinfection properly, what will happen to the children between classes, who will take care of them and if a teacher can divide the class into two parts and teach twice, and yes then he goes home and teaches online for the third time, “said Rade Panic.

Parents and children do not want online classes, the Education Ministry reports, adding that 96 percent of them said they want their children to go back to school on September 1. Educators’ demands that the start of the school year don’t even want to be considered.
