Miodrag Starčević lost the battle with the crown

After a short illness and a fight with the kovid-19 virus, Miodrag Starčević-Mikile, long-term president and later vice-president of the Municipality of Ljig, president of the Municipal Assembly of Ljig, deputy and official of the SPS, passed away last night at the age 70 years.

A graduate of the Faculty of Economics, before taking political office, he was the director of a branch of a bank in Ljig and other companies. He performed these functions for various periods. His last position as deputy mayor of Ljig ended on August 18, 2020. He was married and the father of two children.

Dragan Lazarevic, president of Ljig municipality and long-time colleague, also said goodbye to him.

“A big thank you for all the support, collegiality, friendship and all you did for our Ljig. I will always remember your words and the advice you gave me,” Lazarevic wrote.

The funeral and the reception of condolences will take place on Sunday, December 20, 2020 in the chapel of the Ljig-Babajić cemetery from 11 a.m.
