The Defense Ministry confirmed that two pilots from the Serbian Air Force and Air Defense Army were killed at around 9.10 a.m. when a MiG-21 plane crashed in the Brasina village area near Mali Zvornik while carrying out their duties flight.

The Ministry of Defense stated that, after informing all the relatives of the dead pilots, it would inform the public about the names of the pilots. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of Staff General Milan Mojsilović sent telegrams of condolences to the families of the dead pilots, the announcement added.
