BELGRADE – Education, Science and Technology Development Minister Mladen Sarcevic said that if there is an outbreak of hotspots in a school, the problem will be overcome by finding a solution for that “specific environment,” but schools will not be closed. In an interview with the daily Blic, Sarcevic said that the Ministry he directs will be in daily contact with the schools, and that he will send weekly reports to the Crisis Personnel for the Suppression of Infectious Diseases Kovid 19.

The minister said parents and students expressed confidence in the system because only 3.7 percent of parents decided on online teaching, adding that the “vast majority” of school institutions and teaching staff successfully completed the organization of the school year.

“A higher percentage of schools have made excellent use of space resources, so classes will not be divided. Class schedules were made, disinfectants were delivered. We also got 10,000 visas for elementary and middle school children who have asthma or some other disease, so the masks are annoying, “Sarcevic said.

He said champions are the center of everyone’s attention. “I can say that we did everything possible for the schools to start working from September 1, as well as for all previous generations,” said Šarčević.
