– As you know, we will have a payment of three times 50% of the minimum wage for all micro, small, medium and large companies in the Republic of Serbia. That is for 1.5 employees and a full minimum for the sector that we consider the most threatened, that is, tourism, restaurants, car rental agencies, tour guides … As of March 1, requests for assistance will begin. The form is simple on the website of the tax administration. Not forgetting the help to truckers of 600 euros per bus, also to hoteliers in the city. Each adult citizen of the Republic of Serbia will receive 30 euros twice in May and November this year, and our pensioners will receive an additional 50 euros from the state in September – said the Minister.

Let us remind you that all adult citizens are entitled to 60 euros each. Payment will be made in two installments, the first in May 2021 and the second in November. Pensioners will receive an additional 50 euros, that is, a total of 110 euros.

If citizens do not yet have an open account in a bank, they will choose the bank through which they want their money to be paid and will therefore automatically apply for the help.

That way, a one-time dedicated account will be opened for them, at no cost. After withdrawing the money, the dedicated account will be closed.

They should also check the box confirming consent to the processing of personal data.

Finance Minister Siniša Mali stated on RTS that he was satisfied with the amount of 120 million tax invoices that citizens sent to the “Take the bill and win” questionnaire and reiterated the importance of the fight against the underground economy.

– Now there are almost 12 million envelopes, that is, 120 million tax invoices. Each tax bill means money for us who invest in the construction of roads, schools, hospitals, kindergartens. We finance life with that money, that is. acquisition of vaccines, medical equipment, medicines. Every time we do not accept a tax invoice, only the employer who carries it in his pocket benefits. Thanks to all the citizens of Serbia, the awareness of the fight against the shadow economy is more than developed in our country, said Minister Siniša Mali.

The minister said that last year, despite the coronary virus pandemic and the crisis in the world, the collection of value added tax in Serbia was 5% higher than in 2019.

The actions of the Serbian Government and the citizens of Serbia fighting the black economy are responsible for this success, believes the Minister.

He also said that a new control law and a new public procurement law were passed last year.

– We have also established a contact center at the republic level. Believe it or not, we had 14,000 complaints about the black economy last year and 98% of those complaints were resolved – said the Minister.

Minister Mali said that in June, Serbia will re-present a three-year plan to combat the black economy in the right way.

– We will continue working on raising awareness among citizens about the fight against the underground economy – said the Minister.
