Finance Minister Siniša Mali said that today there are two major laws before the deputies.

– We are thinking about the future of our children. All schools in Serbia will be networked and equipped with computers. Digital education will become one of the priorities of our policy – said the Minister in the Assembly.

One of them is the Draft Law for the Determination of the Guarantee Scheme as a Measure to Support the Economy to Mitigate the Consequences of the SARS-CoV-2 Virus Pandemic, presented by the Government.

As he added in today’s continuation of the Seventh Session of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly, these are cheap loans for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

“At the end of November, some 20,000 loans have been approved and settled. The amount in question is one billion 480 million euros, and this law refers to the extension of the term,” he explained.

The second law is the one that, as he pointed out, refers to young people, that is, the Bill of Ratification of the Financial Agreement of the Connected School in Serbia between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank, presented by the Government ;

“This is a 65 million euro contract for wireless networks in schools. 900 schools have already been connected. We will give each school a local network until the execution of the contract is completed,” said the minister.

He reminded those present several state measures that were implemented as a form of assistance in the face of the current pandemic, among others, and the timely assistance to pensioners that will be paid tomorrow.
