Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin sent a telegram of condolences to the families of the dead pilots, stating that Serbia was left without two pilots who put the defense of their country and their people first.
Vulin affirmed that the loss of all human lives is a tragedy for family and friends, and that the death of a soldier is a blow and a tragedy for the entire country and the people.
“We lost comrades, officers, combatants, and Serbia was left without two pilots who put the defense of their country and their people first.” There is no consolation, there is only information that we had the opportunity to study and work with them, “said Vulin in the telegram on the occasion of the death of pilot Major Dejan Krsnik and captain of the first class Zvonko Vasiljevic.
The minister emphasized that the army never forgets and remembers forever the courage and loyalty of its members, and said that the army never leaves the best and will take care of the families of the dead pilots.
“I ask you, on behalf of all the members of the Serbian Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Army, and on your own behalf, to receive expressions of our deepest and sincere condolences,” reads the telegram of condolences from Minister Vulin.
