Srba Živković (20) from Gornja Vrežina died in a horrible traffic accident that occurred on the night of Saturday to Sunday on Nikola Tesla Boulevard in Niš. Zivkovic was a passenger in a BMW car driven by his friend SB (27), and the accident occurred when SB entered the roundabout and, instead of following the road, he continued straight and collided with the building of the old company “Nish Auto “.
They took the girls home
As we learned, the BMW first hit the planter and stopped fifty feet away, hitting the pillar of the building. The blow was fatal for Živković, because the blow came from the side he was sitting on.
At the scene of yesterday’s accident, we found Jovanka and George Vuckovic, who were the best friends of the Serbs.
– The Serb was at SB’s house on Saturday night, because some friends were there too. Around three in the morning, they set out to take those girls home, and the tragedy occurred when they were returning home to Gornja Vrežina – friends say and continue: – We cannot understand that he no longer exists. He was always smiling, cheerful, ready to joke. He loved life, he was a bohemian and that is why he was always welcome in all societies. He worked in a bag factory.
Friends, relatives and neighbors came to the Zivkovic family yesterday to express their condolences. Serbian father Milos Zivkovic says he was informed by the police of his son’s death at six in the morning.
– I didn’t take care of him or my sister since I was a child. I worked day and night to take them on a trip and I can’t understand that now I have to bury my son, now that he has become his own man – says the father.
He meets the driver
She adds that she knows the young man who caused the collision and that her son has been dating him every day for the past year.
– SB is in the hospital and he sends me messages that he is sorry and apologizes. I heard he was driving drunk and driving fast – says his father.
The residents of Gornja Vrežina say that it is no secret that SB likes to drive fast.
– We also heard that he didn’t have a permit, so we told our kids to avoid sitting in the car with him. It is said that he had 1.2 per thousand of alcohol at the time of the accident, says a local.
Witness: He repeated: “Oh, what have I done!”
Slavisa Savic, an eyewitness to the horrific accident, says he called an ambulance, but the young man was already dead.
There was a loud bang, broken glass. The boy who got out of the car held his head and kept repeating: “Oh what have I done!” I called the ambulance and the police. I felt the pulse of another boy, I felt nothing. This guy who was driving wanted to get him out of the car, but I told him it was better not to get him out unprofessionally, so as not to make things worse. We hoped he was alive – explains the annoying Savić.
