The competent authorities, the police and the prosecution are still investigating the cause of the traffic accident on Highway 48 in the Miljakovac neighborhood of Belgrade, in which Miloš Žugić (39) died and Aleksandar (17) was seriously injured.
The first information about the possible cause of the accident was, unofficially, that it occurred due to the unadjusted speed of the BMW driven by the father, and it was suspected that he was driving in an alcoholic state, writes “Novosti”.
However, the relatives and neighbors of the victim Miloš Žugić claim otherwise.
– We only have words of praise for Milos. We don’t know exactly how the accident happened, but the truth is that we all know him as a man who explicitly opposed the use of narcotics and alcohol. What to say when we know that Milos never drank a drop of alcohol, they say.
This curve has been known to passersby in this area for a long time and, they add, there have been numerous accidents in it.
– It is not insured and often the car just slides, especially in winter conditions. That is why we believe that maybe something like this happened and that it was all a matter of the moment when, unfortunately, Miloš died and his son was injured.
