The biggest winners of the parliamentary elections in Montenegro are the citizens, the state of Montenegro and the new government, said the president of the Movement for Changes and one of the leaders of the Democratic Front, Nebojsa Medojevic, and said that Krivokapic was number one on the electoral list “For the future of Montenegro”. the church demanded it.

“Our task now is to translate that victory into concrete measures,” he told TVCG, emphasizing that the new government has an important historical task of dismantling the old system.

He explained that he did not meet with the designated prime ministerial candidate Zdravko Krivokapić today because he said earlier that Krivokapić has the support of five PZP deputies. “When he receives an official mandate from the president, we are ready to meet and discuss the goals and priorities of the government, where we can make the best contributions and be the most useful … Of course, we hope that the prime minister will let us know what his view. .

He said he did not share all opinions with Krivokapić on the influence of the church in daily politics.

“It came to our list as an agreement between the Democratic Front and the Metropolitan Amfilohije. It was number one because the church asked for it to support our list, ”Medojevic said.

She claimed that the church asked that ten people close to her be on the “For the future of Montenegro” list. “Well, it was reduced to three, so we agreed that it was enough that it was Krivokapic, who represents the church and Metropolitan Amfilohije on our list.”

Medojevic said that Krivokapic’s connection to Amfilohije is understandable, but now is the time for the church to return to its main task.

Medojevic pointed out that he was against the daily interference of the church in political life and did not want to go to a meeting with Amfilohije in Ostrog because that is not a place where mandates and departments should be discussed.

“Whenever the church has entered political waters in Montenegro in the last 30 years, it did not end well for the church or democracy. What the church has made historically great are the liturgies. I think the best thing is for the priests to return to the monasteries now, to continue their mission of moral renewal. “

He called on the dignitaries of the church to respect the Constitution, which clearly states that the church is separate from the state.

“The church has nothing to look for in daily operational politics,” Medojevic said, emphasizing that the church did “historic work” and helped the opposition to come to power.
