He noted that the state provided everything for the treatment of the covid, but that those who deny the fear of the coronavirus will have to secure their own grave, since this virus kills.
– We must send a clear message that what is happening to us now is the entire cross section of our community. We are all in this together and in the community it is natural that there are those who are inclined not to believe, are inclined to invent. Maybe we could talk about fear, that in the subconscious of everything we know, both in the internet community and in these manifestations of the unfortunates that occurred during the weekend, there is fear – said Predrag Sazdanović during a guest appearance on the RTS morning show.
“Everything is going to spill into the hospital kovid”
He pointed out that the doctors also felt fear back in March of last year, but that they overcame it, in addition to thinking about how we are going to respond to all the challenges that are happening on a daily basis.
According to the WHO, Serbia ranks fifth in Europe in the rate of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants. Sazdanović stated that all of that will spread to the hospital hospital across the country.
– All the way to one. The exact percentage is known. We have already learned everything. We learned how a virus mutates, we learned what your virus philosophy of life is. We have opened a new respiratory center in Kragujevac, it is the ‘Zastava’ center – Sazdanović said.
He added that a psychiatric clinic with 50 new beds for the kovid system will open tomorrow in Kragujevac.

He stressed that citizens have an elemental fear of death.

He pointed out that there are people who unconsciously deny fear and who do not believe that the virus exists.
– It is easier for them to want it not to exist, than to face the fear that it is next to us – Sazdanović emphasized.

He added that the state has provided everything and that antibody therapy is being introduced, and that respirators, X-ray machines, “high-flow” machines, the latest drugs, are also available, but the whole system has a great deal of support for.
– The state will not be able to provide you, you will have to provide your grave site, your funeral equipment and your priest yourself, because this virus kills and there is no story. All that is outside of that are stories, they are simply empty and do not correspond to the truth, Sazdanović noted.
As he said, there are things that can be predicted.
– If we know that there will be a mass gathering of people for Sretenje, you cannot be blind, you do not know what will happen behind that and that is simple logic – Predrag Sazdanović said.
“Of the 100 present, 80 will get sick”
When it comes to ski resorts, Sazdanović explained that the chance of infection on ski slopes is five to seven percent, as skiers wear masks and are outdoors.
– What surprised us, now I’m talking about apre-ski, after-ski, what I’m talking about taverns and cafes, it doesn’t matter if Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Nis, Uzice, Kopaonik, Zlatibor or Vrnjacka Spa, Everything what happened inside, we knew that the virus would spread, because the virus infection inside is 80 percent. Of the 100 present, 80 will become ill, Sazdanović noted.
“Perhaps the worst is yet to come”
Currently, 257 patients are being treated at the Kragujevac Clinical Center, which, as Predrag Sazdanović said, is the highest of this wave. In December, he says, there were more patients, but they had a different clinical picture.
– The situation is as alarming as everywhere in Serbia. Right now, we have over 70 patients looking for serious respiratory support. This means that the minimum oxygen is greater than 35 percent. It is about non-invasive ventilation, ‘high flow’ machines, everything that the state has given us and given us the comfort to work, but the population does not help us at all – Sazdanović emphasized.
He stated that patients from all over Šumadija come to Kragujevac and that the most difficult patients come to that hospital from Arandjelovac to Novi Pazar, and that patients from Jagodina, Ćuprija and Paraćin are transferred to Kovid hospital in Kruševac.
– Perhaps the worst is yet to come. We do not know. We wonder what would have happened if there had been no vaccination. Now we have 250 patients, we have 150 exams a day. Perhaps all of Serbia would have 10,000 new infections if there were no vaccination. That’s my counter to the question, and what happened when we were vaccinated? Wait, what would have happened if we had not been vaccinated – Sazdanović said.
He mentioned that 50,000 citizens have received the first dose of the vaccine in Kragujevac so far, and that those who received only one dose of the vaccine have a milder clinical picture and that they received small doses of oxygen and were discharged home faster. .
“The Čačak and Belgrade viruses are not the same”
Speaking about the new strains of the virus, Predrag Sazdanović said that four phases were observed during the four waves and that the clinical picture was different in each of them.
– This one now in March, it looks like the one we had in July. This means a massive infection with large numbers of patients seeking oxygen support. In December, we had clearer clinical pictures with an even higher number of infections. Then we had 380 hospitalized, now we have 250, 260, but the percentage is higher – Sazdanović said.
He added that there should be no loss of force on which strain is in question, as the virus mutates rapidly.
– We jokingly say that the Čačak virus and the Belgrade virus are not the same. There is a fact, in Iceland they managed to limit the epidemic with very strict measures, but they managed to improve the genetic structure of the virus in about 28,000 patients. Do you know how many types of viruses there are in 28,000 patients – 345 types of viruses? – Sazdanović said.
He said that it is necessary to deal with prevention, and that the key is to deal with vaccination, which is the only effective means.
