Novi Sad businessman Petar Matijevic bought the property of the old company Rad International, in New Belgrade. These are objects in The Sava embankment, which covers about 13,000 square meters.
Matijevic bought the property this morning at auction for about 3.5 million euros (426 million dinars). The starting price was 423 million dinars.
– So is. We become the owners of that property, Matijevic told Biznis Telegraf.
When asked what he plans to build in that location, and whether a hotel is planned, taking into account the attractiveness of the place, but also the fact that Matijevic entered the hotel business a long time ago, this businessman said that they have not yet determined the purpose.
– First of all, the urban plan for that location is not ready. When it finishes, we will see – Matijevic said for Biznis Telegraf.
As Matijevic became the owner of the property, not the parcel, one of the options is to reuse the land.
He made a Jugoexport hotel
Let us remember that in 2016, at the urging of his sons, Matijević bought the Jugoexport building in the very center of Belgrade. For 7.3 million euros, this Serbian businessman received 5,500 square meters, which he converted into a four-star luxury hotel.
As Blic wrote, Matijevic recently tried to buy another company in Croatia, but found dissatisfaction from various sides.
We made an offer to buy Agro-Tovarnik and it is not an “enemy” offer, as presented by the director of this company. As it is an open limited company with about 65 members, we want to buy shares and we do not insist on majority ownership. “said Petar Matijevic for” Blic Biznis “.
In 2014, Matijevic bought two agricultural cooperatives in Croatia with 1,500 hectares of arable land, for 15 million euros.
If you realize the aforementioned acquisition, Matijevic would own 3,350 hectares of Croatian arable land from the interstate border near Sid, to Vinkovci and Osijek.
