Self-employed to pay taxes

“The tax office was fair and, before starting to collect, announced it. I hope that the self-employed will fulfill their obligations to the state, like everyone else,” says Mali. “I received some initiative from them and the professional services will investigate it, but it has nothing to do with current laws,” says the minister. “Most of them already pay taxes, 10 percent, as entrepreneurs. If they do not pay, it is a pity, because they are not engaged in hobbies, but in serious business,” says Mali.

As Mali says, given that our budget is stable, we have room to increase wages, minimum wages and pensions.

“At the end of the week, the government will approve the budget for 2021,” Mali said, adding that the budget will include an increase in salaries in the public sector, an increase in pensions and an increase in the minimum wage by 6, 6 percent.

“The budget for 2021 is one of the key budgets for us, due to the biggest global crisis in history, the one caused by the 2020 pandemic,” says Mali. myself, “said the finance minister.

According to him, everyone will have a 5% wage increase from April 1, which no other country can do under these conditions.

“For next year, we forecast a GDP growth of 6 percent, the deficit under control, at the level of three percent of the budget, that is, we fully maintain macroeconomic control, according to the Maastricht criteria,” Mali said.

Mali stated that the forecasts are such that Serbia will have the smallest decline, that is, the highest GDP growth in 2020.

He stated that Serbia has the best result according to the projections of the European Commission and the IMF. “We continue with reindustrialization, we continue to open factories,” Mali adds.

We will invest 14 billion euros in infrastructure alone by 2025, says Mali. He said he expects € 1.9 billion of foreign investment in Serbia in 2021.

He recalled that the unemployment rate of 7.3 percent was historically the lowest on record. A one-time 10,000 dinar aid will be paid for health workers on Friday, the finance minister said.

“Serbia is number one when it comes to growth rates,” Mali told Kurir TV. Mali recalled that according to the reports that Serbia and the Ministry of Finance have, Serbia will have a better result than the IMF predictions, between minus 0.6 and 0.1 percent.

We have numbers that we can be proud of, but the most important thing is that an ordinary person feels them, says Mali.
