Before the elections in Kosjeric and Zajecar, intensified government activities continue in those municipalities.

Finance Minister Siniša Mali visited Kosjerić, where he said that “the priority in that municipality is the construction of tens of kilometers of new roads and the activation of the economic zone and the incorporation of one or two investors.” Furthermore, Kosjeric has an important place in the Serbia 2025 program.

In the meeting with the Municipality’s management on the situation in the local budget and the realization of new investments, it was agreed that the Ministry of Finance form a team that will reach the Municipality and provide support in the design of the local budget. “If necessary, we should invest in additional infrastructure so that if investors come to Serbia, Kosjeric is one of the priority places,” Mali said.

As he said, the government will help in converting the heating plant from fuel oil to gas, changing fuel in individual furnaces and afforestation to reduce pollution in Kosjerić by 70% through all those projects. One of Kosjerić’s problems is the supply of electricity, so 50 million dinars were set aside to rebuild and upgrade 21 kilometers of the distribution network in that municipality. The president of the municipality, Zarko Djokic, thanked the Government of Serbia and Mali “for making great efforts to maintain the stability of the municipal budget.”

The Prime Minister was in Zajecar today. Ana Brnabić visited the Metering Transformers Factory, emphasizing that she wants to support the national economy and, above all, national investors.

He also commented if the visit prior to the elections is an official campaign … “If I come to Zajecar for the first time as Prime Minister, then they could accuse me of an official campaign, but considering that this is the fourth time, I think it cannot be”, said the Prime Minister to the portal Voice of Zajecar.

The organization Transparency Serbia announced that the highest state officials visited Zajecar and Kosjeric 17 times in the last month, compared to 22 times during the previous four years, estimating that it was a campaign of officials.
