The original letter from the French King Louis XIV reached Serbia. The document of “Great Louis”, whose reign of 72 years is the longest in the European tradition, was acquired for the Collection of the “Bourbon Dynasty”, which is formed by the “Adligat” Association.

The letter was written on parchment in 1672 and is a legal document with the king’s signature and a gold seal, it says RTS.

It was part of the collection of the writer, art historian and political scientist Andrea Marlowe, otherwise Minister of Culture for ten years during the time of Charles de Gaulle.

Its authenticity was confirmed in the United States, where it was purchased at auction.

The association “Adligat” has engaged a network of its members and antique dealers around the world to form a collection of documents of French kings and rulers.
