Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and representatives of the fitness community today discussed the consequences and effects of the COVID-19 virus pandemic on this industry.
Both parties agree that such talks are the best way to find the best solution through joint action and dialogue to mitigate the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
Representatives of the fitness community stressed that they are interested and willing to participate in the mass immunization campaign of the population, because they are convinced that vaccination would help their business return to normal as soon as possible.
As advocates of healthy living, they noted that vaccination completely fits into their agenda and they hope that this rate of vaccination in Serbia will continue.
The participants in the meeting expressed their willingness to fully respect all epidemiological measures in force, all with the aim of continuing with work and business.
Its basic requirement was more working hours in order to better schedule its members and athletes according to the measures, since most gyms operate on schedules.
Today’s meeting is part of the broader consultations that the Prime Minister held with line ministers in the previous days with representatives of the industries most affected by the negative effects of the COVID-19 virus pandemic.
Previously, the Prime Minister met with representatives of the film and cinema industry, as well as associations of hairdressers, caterers and musicians.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Vanja Udovicic, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Finance. The representatives of the fitness workers at the meeting were members of the Serbian Fitness and Recreation Association, the Belgrade Sports Association and the Personal Trainers Association.
