Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar stated that he would insist that local crisis personnel no longer issue “special permits” for weddings and celebrations, as he assessed such gatherings give the corona virus an opportunity to circulate.

On the morning TV Pink program, Lončar recalled that a week ago there were just over 270 covid patients in hospitals, and today there are 359 of them.

“It is an increase in just one week, and it is the result of parties, celebrations and weddings. We have noticed that the crisis staff at the bar have started to grant some ‘special permits’ to organize celebrations and things like that, and we will insist in which such permits are allowed. “Dear citizens, you cannot hold meetings with more than 30 people,” Loncar said.

He indicated that so far around 950 requests have been received through the Viber number for reporting violations of protection measures, and that “dozens of them have been processed.”

He sent out a special appeal to those who were invited as guests to weddings and celebrations.

“It’s not a shame to say, look at the situation, it’s risky, we’ll send a gift but we won’t come,” Lončar suggested.

He added that a hospital day of treatment for kovid costs more than a thousand euros, except that it involves hiring medical workers, whom he called “our heroes.”

“Is it possible that we do not take them into account? Or for people who are not infected with the corona virus and who have not been able to come to hospitals for treatment, since all hospitals at one point became covid hospitals ? We cannot let this happen again. Desi, “Lončar emphasized.

He warned that a greater number of those infected with the crown, the appearance of more serious clinical pictures, as well as the growth of those infected with other respiratory infections are still expected.

“Wearing masks, keeping your distance and hygiene is the only thing that helps,” Loncar concluded.
