Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar said today that the information that three times as many people died from the coronavirus “is not true.”
“I endorse the fact that it is not based on any evidence, that is absolutely false,” Loncar said during a tour of the construction site of the new kovid hospital at the military complex in Batajnica.

On that occasion, the president of Serbia is Aleksandar Vučić stated that Serbia will do a full review of the data. on the number of deaths from kovid-19 and said the state did not hide anything.
“Serbia will do a complete review of each death, of each person, to see how it looks. And the doctors will do it,” Vucic said, adding that he did not think there would be big differences.
He said that the state did not hide anything and that it will also work transparently in the future.
Epidemiologist Predrag Kon said Tuesday that according to his research, based on data from the City’s Institute of Public Health, From March to June, there were three times as many deaths as the system collected and what has been officially published, that is, what has been reported in writing. He also stated that there was a problem in the information system.
