The Minister of Health, Zlatibor Loncar, said that he expected more than a million doses of vaccines against COVID-19 in January and that, as previously announced by President Aleksandar Vucic, he would dedicate part of the next contingent of that medical device to the population not Kosovo Serb and Metohija.

Loncar, as a guest on TV Pink, stated that Pristina’s negative comments represent the voice of the minority, and that the comments of the local population about these ads are positive.

“And when you do everything you can to help, someone reduces it to politics.” Each vaccine saves a human life, and they have something against it. (Without help from Serbia), they were only able to receive the first dose of vaccines in June (2021).

“They have a political problem, which they cannot reconcile with the policy of peace and the policy of helping President Vučić,” Lončar said.

He stated that Serbia has about 39% of covid patients in hospital treatment, which is above the European average, and that the inhabitants of the United Kingdom “cannot even go to a doctor”, but that they receive therapy through a application.

The minister confirmed that the pipeline of the newly built hospital in Batajnica broke, adding that the defect was repaired and that there were no consequences for healthcare workers or patients.

“It happens both in the apartment and in the hotel, it can happen anywhere,” Loncar said.

He indicated that on Wednesday the construction of the new part of the Vojvodina Clinical Center will begin, that the KCV internal clinic with more than 200 beds will officially begin to function, as well as that the construction of additional health capacities is planned.
