Serbian Health Minister Zlatibor Lonar said tonight that 2,340 health workers infected with coronavirus are currently registered.

Lonar told RTS that these are serious resources and people who have been working on the kovid system for more than eight months.
As he stated, calming the situation depends only on unity and harmony, that is, on all citizens joining with medical workers in the fight against the coronavirus, so that they avoid contacts for the next few weeks.
“The only measure that can give results is to close everything,” Lonar said, urging citizens to respect the prescribed measures and avoid contact.
Regarding hospital capacities, he said that for now there are places for everyone who requires hospital treatment, but that does not necessarily mean that it will be in Belgrade, and called on everyone not to create an additional problem for the workers of the Health. they can be hospitalized in Belgrade and live in that city.
“There are no visits to Kovid’s hospital, what is the difference in the city that he is in when he can only catch up with his family over the phone?” Lonar said.
“Not enough is known about the virus yet”
He pointed out that to this day, after all this time, not enough is known about the coronavirus.
“That is why I suggest that we focus on what we know. What has been shown, that these numbers are directly proportional to our attitude and our behavior towards the coronavirus,” said the minister.
He adds that there is no other measure, apart from the complete closure, that can be said to give a 100 percent result, and that this has been seen in Europe and the world.
He said that there are places for patients at the moment, but not all can be cared for in Belgrade. He says it depends on several factors.
“The goal is that every patient who deserves hospital treatment, receives it in Belgrade or elsewhere, gets a bed, therapy or staff to care for him,” Lonar said.
He says there are no visits to the Kovid hospitals and asked what the difference is between whether someone is harassed in Belgrade or in another city.
Asked if there could be a situation in which there are no places in the hospitals, he said that it could happen if the measures are not respected.
“There is no system in the world that can resist the contagion of most of the country in the short term, and that happens if we do not adhere to the measures, that is the essence of everything,” Lonar said.
The epidemiological curve will change when we change
Zlatibor Lonar said that it is safer for children to be in kindergarten or school, and to stick with everything.
He said they wore masks in the car, washed their hands and kept their distance. It is being evaluated, he says, whether younger classes will also switch to online classes as high school students and older.
He added that this would be evaluated by a part of Crisis Tab in cooperation with education people, and emphasized that the children would not be harmed at any time.
The minister said that the epidemiological curve will change when we change.
“I really think we get it, maybe not at first, but when we see that the situation is serious, let’s understand anyway,” Lonar said.
“This is the moment when we have to be rational, be united at the level of the whole of Serbia and stop discussing whether this or that measure,” he added.
He reiterates that the essence is in three things: that there are no contact lenses, that they wash their hands and that they wear a mask.
As he says, if the majority understand this and influence people to adhere, then we have a light at the end of the tunnel, and we are waiting for the vaccine to appear, and that is the solution.
“Everything else is a story with which you will not come to any conclusion,” Lonar said.
There are still those who do not believe in the crown
Lonar said that the problem is that patients do not report on time, as well as that some of the people still do not believe that the virus is real and real, and that it generates a serious problem.
“That’s what I said, hitting our heads against the wall, realizing that the crown exists and that it causes a serious disorder in the body,” said the minister.
He adds that they are people who do not respect the measurements and who think that the crown has been manufactured and that nothing can happen to them. And he says they are the same people who get more nervous when they go to the doctor.
He also pointed out the problem of covid negatives that are cured of other diseases and cannot reach the doctor.
Speaking about Patriarch Irinej’s funeral, Lonar said that recommendations were made and that it was a great challenge. He said that after that, there was a rapid test of those present and that there were several positives, whose therapy was started.
