The latest news about Mihajlo was heard by the public in April this year, when everyone wrote that money had been raised for his treatment in Istanbul.
Mihajlo’s carefree childhood was abruptly cut short in mid-October 2019, when his right arm was noticed to tremble.
After being admitted and examined by a neurologist at Sremska Mitrovica hospital, he was sent to the Serbian Clinical Center, the Neurosurgery Clinic. Examination in the scanner revealed that he had a brain tumor, which was also confirmed when an MRI of his head was performed. Right after that, a VP shunt was installed on his left side, so that he could be operated on on October 25.
However, it was not possible to completely remove the tumor with the operation, and the pathohistological report confirmed that it was one of the most malignant tumors: Astrocytoma anaplasticum, NOS, WHO grade III. After the epileptic seizure, which followed the operation, a VP shunt was installed on his right side, the Telegraph wrote.
Because it was an aggressive type of tumor, with a poor prognosis as a consequence of the treatment, it was necessary to continue the treatment abroad. But sadly, in his case, even that wasn’t enough.
