Representatives of the “Let’s not drown Belgrade” initiative and Together for Serbia president Nebojsa Zelenovic announced the cooperation between the two organizations and the “inclusion of new and unpolluted people” in solving the most important social problems.

At the press conference “Local struggles as the first step towards social change”, Zelenović and the representatives of “Let’s not drown Belgrade”, Dobrica Vreselinović and Radomir Lazović evaluated the issues of citizens’ lives, social dialogue to solve the Kosovo problem, Serbia’s clear international commitment to the EU and the fight for free and fair elections, issues on which they will work together and develop cooperation.

“The problems of the local life of citizens are key, and the gathering of citizens and essential change can only be brought about by organizations and individuals with a vision and a plan, who are not affected by participation in the previous impoverishment of society, the collapse of institutions and control of the media, “said Radomir Lazovic.

Speaking about the need to open a social dialogue on the issue of Kosovo, Zelenovic said that he believes that “time is working against Serbia”, and that over time, the state will be in a worse position to resolve that issue than in the actuality.

“Serbia has a place among successful and democratic societies. We will develop cooperation with all progressive parties and movements of Europe and the world in the fight for a more just and wealthy society. Most of humanity’s aspirations to meet the needs legitimate people have been made, “noted Zelenović.

At the conference it was valued that there is great potential for changes to start from Belgrade, but that the electoral conditions are not good and that it is necessary to fight to respect the electoral will of the citizens.

“The media must be free, citizens must not be blackmailed, public funds cannot be spent for the needs of the ruling party, and theft must be prevented on Election Day so that people can express their free will in elections. “Lazovic said.
