BELGRADE – The Crisis Staff session, in which the current epidemiological measures are expected to tighten due to the increase in the number of infected, will be held tomorrow at 8 in the morning, according to the Kurir.
– Get the people ready, the crisis personnel will surely tighten the measures tomorrow! He sent a sobering message to our respected infectologist Dr. Mijomir Pelemis before tomorrow’s session.
– We have forgotten that epidemiological measures are in force all the time, which include the use of masks, distance, up to five people inside, remember.
Tomorrow is the session of the Crisis Staff for the fight against the coronavirus, and the epidemiological measures will surely be reinforced. Confirming this, prof. Dr. Mijomir Pelemis, infectologist and member of the Crisis Staff, told 24sedam that the fact that no new measures were adopted yesterday does not mean that they will not be.
– Prepare people. I remind you that all the epidemiological measures adopted are still in force and must be respected. If someone has forgotten, these are wearing masks indoors, wearing masks outdoors, when distance cannot be kept, such as queues and the like, ban on gathering more than five people indoors, washing hands with regularly, maintain a physical distance of at least two meters – says prof. Dr. Pelemis, adding that the masks should not be removed anywhere because the virus is spreading.
Relaxed people
– It is obvious that people have relaxed. The problem is in the catering facilities, shopping centers, buses, where the measures are not respected. More people enter than allowed and more than allowed sit at the table. We are witnessing parties and parties in various clubs, cafes and other similar facilities – he explains.
Speaking of wintering, he emphasizes that nobody has anything against skiing.
– Let people ski all day. But the problem is when you go to the catering facility later. In addition, it is of no use if the measures are tightened and a rigorous control of their implementation is not carried out. There are people who do not even think about themselves, much less about others. In addition, we have the phenomenon of children being infected – warns prof. Dr. Pelemis.
Vaccination in danger
According to him, it is not true that children cannot be infected.
– From the beginning I have been saying that children can have virs, just like anyone else. Of course, the outcome of the disease is different and depends on the body’s natural defenses. And the vaccine is prey we have to believe in. If we do not continue to implement epidemiological measures, we will be in danger from vaccination. People will get sick and, when they are in the acute phase of the disease, they will not be able to receive the vaccine, our expert warned.
He reminded everyone who received the first dose of the kovid vaccine not to relax.
– They have to respect the measurements and wear masks because that first dose does not mean anything. They are not immune to the virus immediately afterwards. In addition, after the second dose, it is necessary to wear masks, keep your distance and respect everything that the measures to suppress the spread of the coronavirus prescribe – he concluded.
It should be remembered that in yesterday’s session of the Crisis Staff no new epidemiological measures were adopted and the current epidemiological situation in the country was discussed. Epidemiologists have announced a possible tightening of the measures, since the number of new infected, which is almost 3,500, does not inspire optimism. Maybe tomorrow…

– On Friday we will make a decision on which measures will be valid for the weekend. The measures will apply to all places where there are hot spots and transmission possibilities, but that is not defined today. Today, it is clearly defined that especially important places are ski resorts, winter resorts, where people come back to us with proven infections and then spread – added Dr. Kon, revealing that there was talk of cafes and restaurants in Belgrade. but that they discuss it more in tomorrow’s session.
