Each month, about 25 trucks came to the city west of Bačka from various directions, unloading about 1,200 cubic meters of assorted lumber. The owners of the warehouses of this city claim that the illegal traders earned around 6,000,000 dinars, so the local firewood was lost.

– Six owners of the woodshed signed a request to the city authorities, community and market inspection with a request to prevent the illegal sale of firewood on the streets of Sombor – says Boro Buča, owner of the woodshed “Ogrev BB plus” in Sombor.

He adds that the loggers are grateful for all the services that prevented the unfair sale of wood. The heating season is at hand, and those who heat with wood or charcoal buy a lot of firewood, and in the warehouses they say that the supply is good.

Firewood is available to customers in the “Ogrev BB plus” warehouse. The price of a cubic meter of beech, wax, acacia and hornbeam is 6,200 dinars. At the “Marcos” woodshed, a cube of cut wood costs 6,500 dinars. In the “Komerc Rodić” heating warehouse, you can buy dry coal from the Kolubara mine at the price of 13,000 per ton, lignite at 8,000 dinars and coal from Banovići, which costs 15,000 per ton. Hard firewood is provided. One cubic meter of beech, acacia and wax costs 6,500 dinars.

The people of Sombor who heat with wood do not share the satisfaction of the owner of the woodcutter.

– I know that resellers do not pay taxes, nor do they have costs like official traders, but for us consumers the price is very important, which is now higher than last year – VS tells us – Although they deceived me twice about the capacity cubic meter, the price per cubic meter of firewood did not exceed 5,000 dinars. Now, for seven cubic meters, I will have to set aside up to ten thousand more than before.

According to Nenad Rodić, the owner of the warehouse, the most popular are dry coal and beech. He adds that there are sufficient quantities of all types of fuel. Acquisitions are currently in full swing and sellers expect them to last until the end of September or until mid-October.

Deferred payment

OGREV customers can get it in various installments, that is, checks and credit cards. In addition, the price of the heating includes felling and transport from the warehouse to the customer in the city. – We understand that citizens have expenses for the purchase of firewood, winter storage, equipping students, and that is why we provide this convenience, payment in installments – says Boro Buča.
