Tonight, the Serbian Assembly unanimously approved the Law of Ministries, which created the conditions for the formation of the new Government of Serbia.
205 deputies, as many as those present in the room, voted in favor.
The Law on Ministries provides for the Government of Serbia to have 21 departments, including three new ones: the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, Gender Equality, the Ministry of Rural Care and the Ministry of Family and Demography.
Meanwhile, it was announced that there will be ministries without portfolios.
The law also includes the following ministries: finance, economy, agriculture, forestry and water management, environmental protection, construction, transportation and infrastructure, mining and energy, tourism and telecommunications.
The Serbian government will also include the Ministry of Justice, State Administration and Local Self-Government, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Defense, Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of European Integration, as well as the Ministries of Education, Health, Youth and Sports, Culture. and Information and Veterans and Social Affairs.
Dacic: I expect a discussion on the government program on Wednesday
After the approval of the Law on Ministries in Parliament, the Speaker of the Serbian Assembly, Ivica Dačić, stated that he awaits a proposal to schedule a session of the National Assembly tomorrow, dedicated to the debate on the program of the Government of Serbia and the election of the president and members of the Government.
“The session would be held on Wednesday,” Dačić said, informing the Collegium members that he had scheduled the Collegium session of the National Assembly for Wednesday at nine o’clock.
The mandate of the new government officially begins to run after the new ministers are sworn in in the Serbian Parliament.
The Socialists have not yet announced who will be their candidate for the Minister of Education and the Minister without Portfolio, and the media reports that the candidates for the two ministerial positions are Branko Ruzic, Aleksandar Antic and Novica Toncev.
On Sunday, after the session of the SNS Presidency, the Progressives presented the ministers of that party, and in Nemanja 11 there will be some old ones, but also some new ones who have not been in the executive power until now.
