Lavrov turned to the Serbs at the entrance of the plane and sent a historic message before departing.

Lavrov was received and, as previously announced, was received at the airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nikola Selaković. In addition to him, there are also the Russian ambassador to Serbia, Aleksandar Bocan-Kharchenko, and the Serbian ambassador to Russia, Miroslav Lazanski.

After visiting important places in Belgrade, accompanied by the President of Serbia, a meeting was held in Villa Mir, which began at 4.30 pm. After the conference, Vučić and Lavrov addressed the citizens of Serbia.

– Thanks to Serbia and President Vučić for their hospitality and kindness. We also spoke of Kosovo, we expressed the wish that Europe as a mediator contribute to making important and correct decisions and recognize the evident sabotage of Pristina. They are avoiding the formation of the WHO and that has been clear for years. “I conveyed a cordial greeting from President Putin and I wish President Vučić all the best,” Lavrov said.

– Serbia has made the decision to preserve its military neutrality, we will not be part of military blocs. We will take care of our sky, our rivers … I expressed my personal concern for the situation in the region and that we will solve everything through conversation and dialogue. Thank you for coming to Serbia in the midst of the epidemic and for showing friendship with Serbia, President Vučić said.

The Russian Foreign Minister ended his one-day visit to Belgrade. He was escorted to the airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković.

Before getting on the plane Lavrov saluted the citizens of Serbia with three fingers.

Minister Lavrov left for Zagreb, where he continues his visit to the region.
