BELGRADE – In the last 24 hours, 12,897 people were tested in Serbia, of which 2,932 were recently infected. Unfortunately, 48 people died.
There are 271 patients on respirators.
So far, a total of 2,296,303 people in Serbia who met the criteria to define the case have been tested since the start of the pandemic.
In Vojvodina, 689 new infected, the number of active cases is decreasing
During the previous day, 689 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Vojvodina, and the highest number of new infected is in Novi Sad, 176, the Vojvodina Institute of Public Health announced today. According to a statement posted on the Institute’s website, the number of active cases in Vojvodina at the moment is 32,972.
It is noted that the number of active cases decreased significantly due to the recovery of a large number of patients with a mild clinical picture of patients two weeks ago, especially in Novi Sad, Pancevo, Vrbas, Zabalj, Ruma and Backa Palanka.
At the moment, the highest number of registered active cases is in Novi Sad, 8,842, followed by Zrenjanin with more than 3,400, Pancevo with more than 1,700, Subotica and Backa Palanka with more than 1,500 and Kikinda with more than 1,300 active cases.
In Kosovo and Metohija, 184 newly infected, three people died
In the last 24 hours, 184 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in Kosovo and Metohija, and three more patients died as a result of the infection, announced the National Institute of Public Health in Pristina. As published on the Institute’s Facebook page, 1,184 people were tested on the last day. In the same period, 420 patients were cured, which is a total of 41,407 cured since the beginning of the pandemic in Kosovo, Kosovo reports online. So far, 1,335 people have died from the coronavirus. There are currently 8,586 active cases of coronavirus. The total number of positive cases since the start of the pandemic is 51,328 and 183,513 tests have been performed.
