Kragujevac’s family thought about communicating with the priest for years and gave 100,000 euros!

The family of five was the victim of Aunt BD, who, as suspected, falsely presenting himself as the cleric Dragutin Jovanović, in two and a half years, swindled them out of more than 100,000 euros.

With that money he bought an apartment in Vracar in Belgrade. Due to this very serious form of fraud, BD was charged and criminal proceedings were started against it a month ago before the Kragujevac Court of First Instance.

By the way, BD is the sister of his uncle’s wife and the mother of the damaged SD family, with whom they were extremely close and trusted without limits.

As lawyer Ana Petričević, lawyer for the injured, told “Novosti”, BD started mentioning priest Dragutin in 2010 as a psychic and priest in the Divostin monastery, who helps her a lot.

– When one of his daughters failed to pass the exam in college in 2014, BD suggested that her relatives contact Dragutin and call her – Ana Petričević tells us.

– He explained that he only communicates through SMS messages so that they do not take away his energy. They all began to correspond with him in early 2015 because they were having problems and since he knew all the details of his past, they believed that he was really clairvoyant.

At first, says our interlocutor, he did not ask for money for advice, but only in November 2015. In his messages he told them that they were not payments for him but for the church, the replacement of the altar, monasteries on the holy mountain to “wash away sins”.

– Dragutin corresponded with everyone and convinced them not to tell what they were talking about, because then there would be no effect. Everyone respected that rule. When you asked, they mailed you money on behalf of your IM partner. It was BD’s housekeeper, whom he allegedly manipulated to increase those payments – the lawyer tells us.

– In mid-2017, Dragutin told them that BD has pancreatic cancer and that they must urgently pay him money for the treatment or he will die. People asked for a loan.

– Money was always sought with great urgency, and the injured took loans and borrowed money. Over time, they became suspicious, and one day they were called by BV from Belgrade, who was injured in the same way. She was the first to realize the fraud and file a criminal complaint, and the police discovered that BD was behind Dragutin and confiscated the phone with all the messages during the search of the apartment. BV called all the victims, including members of the D family. However, since their aunt told them that the girl would call them and that they did not trust her, they did not even listen to her, but they hung up.

As her aunt “had cancer” at the time, and refused to see her in such a condition for a long time, they surprised her one day at home and found that she did not appear ill. They went to the Divostin monastery and found that there was no Dragutin there. Then everything was revealed, so they filed a criminal complaint against the aunt.
