Kovid in the region: record numbers in North Macedonia and Croatia, Romanians number in the thousands

In the countries of the region, the number of people infected by the virus continues to grow. North Macedonia and Croatia still record a record increase in the number of patients in one day.

In Romania, the number of infected continues to increase by thousands (3,186), while in Greece there was a slight decrease compared to yesterday and the day before yesterday.

For the third day in a row, more than 300 people have been infected in Slovenia and four people have died, which is the highest number of deaths in one day in that country.

In the last 24 hours, 173 people newly infected with the corona virus were registered in Serbia, while one person died from kovid 19. In the last 24 hours, 6,933 people were tested, while 1,186,654 people have been evaluated since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of infected in Kosovo and Metohija has increased by 79 in the last 24 hours and three people have died. In the last 24 hours, 764 patients and 1,159 active cases were analyzed.

In the last 24 hours, a new record number of newly infected coronaviruses was recorded in Croatia: 457 and three deaths. According to the National Civil Protection Headquarters, the number of active cases is 2,438. Among them, 385 patients are in the hospital, of which 28 are connected to a ventilator. To date, a total of 348,950 people have been tested, of which 4,417 in the last 24 hours.

There have been 386 new infections in North Macedonia in the last 24 hours, while six patients have died from the virus. The highest number of infected is in Skopje, 178.

In the last 24 hours, 387 new coronavirus cases and 13 deaths were recorded in Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which 260 positives and 10 deaths occurred in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina alone. 1,514 test samples were reported to the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. New cases have been registered in all cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. So far, a total of 169,023 samples have been analyzed in that entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There are 2,777 positive coronavirus cases in FBiH. 10 new deaths were reported to the Office.

As previously announced from the Public Health Institute of the Republic of Srpska, 127 new infections and three deaths from coronavirus were registered in the last 24 hours.

In Montenegro, 334 newly infected people and three deaths from coronavirus were recorded, the Podgorica Institute of Public Health announced. Despite the strictest measures to protect against the spread of the epidemic, the number of infected increases every day. Most of the newcomers are from Podgorica: 169. The total number of active cases of kovid-19 in Montenegro is 3,828.

In Austria, in the last 24 hours, the number of new infections again exceeded 1,000, that is, 1,131. The number of active patients has grown to five figures and currently stands at 10,307, of which 508 are hospitalized and 103 in intensive care. The main focus is again Vienna with 392 new cases of coronavirus infection. Due to the epidemiological situation, the level of risk in the so-called Corona traffic light has risen in 17 municipalities in Austria. In three regions, the “traffic light” jumped from green to orange, indicating an increased risk of infection.

In Hungary, 15 people died in the last 24 hours from the consequences of the coronavirus and 1,176 new cases of the virus were confirmed. There are 993 patients in the hospital, 56 of whom use respirators. There are 25,107 active cases in Hungary.

In Greece, there was a slight decrease in the number of infected and dead in one day in the last 24 hours. Yesterday one death and 391 new cases were reported, while the day before six people died and more than 400 were infected. Currently there are 98 patients on respirators.

In Romania, 3,186 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, and 52 people have died, announced the crisis headquarters of that country. Since the last cross section, 29,282 people have been tested. There are currently 8,772 infected people in hospitals.

Albania has reported 167 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, two less than yesterday. The Health Ministry announced that two more people have died since the last cut, two less than the day before. Most of the new cases, 90 of them, are from Tirana, which remains the largest focus of the epidemic. There are 239 patients in hospitals, 17 are being treated in intensive care and six of them are on ventilators.
