Epidemiologist Predrag Kon stated today that it is corona virus still in circulation in Serbia, but significantly less than before, and that now the number of infected is between two and three percent of the total number examined.
Kon noted that the circulation of the virus will continue to decline at a press conference on the occasion of the launch of public transport in Belgrade.
Kon noted that the virus can be controlled and prevented by death, stressing that the situation is emerging from danger and is slowly normalizing.

In our country, 9,557 are currently sick and 197 people have died. Measures to prevent the spread of the virus are in effect, while the state of emergency will be lifted on May 6.
“This is a way out of a threatening situation, we are slowly moving towards normalization. The virus is still in circulation, but much less, now it is below two percent positive. Kon advised citizens over the age of 65, as well as those with chronic illnesses, not to use public transportation because they are a risk group.
“Transportation must be used first only by employees, then students and unemployed people under 65 and, finally, over 65 years. We want to demonstrate that we can control the virus and prevent it from spreading further. I hope the virus is no longer active by the end of May, “Kon said.
