When asked by a journalist if his statement differs from the one given yesterday by immunologist Srđa Janković, which is that the virus is inflaming, Kon said:

Both he and I are right. There has been a slowdown in Belgrade, but at the same time it is spreading to southern Serbia. These are not the consequences of the measures, this is a natural flow, the consequences of the measures remain to be seen. Hopefully they will see each other first in Belgrade. We see that in countries where very restrictive measures have been introduced, significant results are being shown, ”said the doctor.

He also said that the fight against the coronavirus is not a competition and that he would not compare our results with the countries of the region, but he also said that it is possible that the number of our deaths is growing.

“It is important to say that the number of deaths will increase. It is mathematically completely clear. For 6,800 newly infected people, if you have 1% mortality, that number is 68 deaths, and that will come in a couple of weeks. That number can become three. digits.
