Epidemiologist Kon said that the data reported was data from the “Trampoline” Institute and that there was never any data concealment.

Kon said all the data is sourced from the Trampoline Institute and is accurate.

“All that was published was what was available,” Dr. Kon said.

He adds that none of the data has ever been withheld, especially since there is speculation in the public about completely independent forms of monitoring.

He noted that there may have been significantly more deaths as a result of the coronavirus epidemic, noting that audits are needed to get the full picture.

“Accuracy is very important in this challenge. I said based on mortality statistics, but it is not clear to people, so it is an evaluation, not something that is completely reliable. He explained that according to certain data and calculations, it is possible that there were significantly more deaths, but a review is needed for that. As he emphasized, these are only estimates, “Kon concluded.

Epidemiologist Dr. Srđa Janković stated that scientific research has determined that the number of patients and deaths in the world is higher than official data.

“This is not unexpected. Some things cannot be determined daily, but periodically. An audit is something that can be done after an epidemic,” Jankovic said.

Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar added that an audit was promised to take place.

“Serbia is being tested the most in the region, and we are not waiting too long for those results,” he said, adding that everything possible will be done to protect citizens as much as possible.

He added that his resignation was written, as he said, in “response to journalist H1’s proposal.”

“Yesterday I was thinking, you suggested that I resign. I wrote my resignation yesterday,” Loncar said.
